Teenagers From Mars (Misfits Cover Band) Videos!!!

A couple of years back my buddy Adam asked me to sing for the Misfits cover band that he and some friends did yearly during Halloween. He had been drumming in this group "138" ever since I could remember, I had seen them play every Halloween for forever! All the previous members either moved or just didn't feel like doing it anymore..so I got my best friend Andre to play guitar and our friend Cooper played bass since he already knew all the bass lines. Since the majority of the members had changed we changed the name to "Teenagers From Mars". It was one of the funnest bands I've ever been involved with. I hope someday we will do it again. Anyways, here are some videos from one of the shows we played on Halloween night! Enjoy.

High On Fire-Snakes For The Divine

If you are into High on Fire, you will definitely love this album. Although I prefer a lot of their older tracks to the newer albums, this shows me that they aren't stopping any time soon. The monster that is High on Fire is growing bigger and bigger, this album will literally melt you face off. There are mediafire links all over the net, just google it and you'll find at least one working one. If you enjoy it as much as I do, you should support, and buy an actual copy of the CD, or vinyl..I'll probably buy this on vinyl, even though I've been selling off most of my collection, I still have all of my High on Fire stuff. Long live Pike!

could this be the gayest bass ever?

I was checking out First Act custom guitars and basses, particularly Nate Newton's bass specs, when I cam across this turd. Custom bass for Peet Golan of Waltham. This thing looks like total butt! The specs on the First Act site do say that it has great range of tone, but you can get that out of a lot of basses that look a lot slicker than this dud. I wish I could get a custom bass from these guys, they do seem to have a more original look than any other bass or guitars out there...the custom ones anyways.

This powerhouse trio consists of legends of rock n' roll. Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age, Eagles Of Death Metal, and Kyuss. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Probot, and one of the former drummers of Queens Of The Stone Age. Last but certainly not least John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. Each one of these guys are amazing in their own right. They all bring different styles of musicianship to the table. That being said, this album is fucking amazing. Homme is such a 'to the point' kind of guy, his lyrics are clever and well put together. I love this verse from 'No One Loves Me & Neither Do I'. 'If sex is a weapon, then smash, boom, pow. how do you like me now? you can't always do it right, but you can always do whats left. so I told her 'I was trash', she winked and laughed and said I already know...I've got a beautiful place to put your face, and she was right.' In my head I feel like Homme says what I want to when I'm writing lyrics, to the point! I wanna fuck, and I don't care who knows, and I want this beautiful woman that I'm fucking to want to fuck too. Another one of his lyrics from Queens that I like , 'I wish we'd get away, drink wine and screw.' Grohl is an amazing all around musician in my opinion, but he should be a full time drummer. He hits the drums so hard, he knows what he should play, he plays it, and destroys on the drums. Although his recordings with Nirvana didn't show his full potential, if you hear albums like Queens' 'Songs For The Deaf' or this Them Crooked Vultures album, you know he is untouchable on a drum kit. John Paul Jones is, well, John Paul Jones. He needs no introduction, and he brings so much to the table. He plays almost every stringed instrument you can think of, and piano. He is a composer, producer, etc. You can tell that Homme and Grohl are trying to keep up with this rock veteran, not vice versa. All the bands that these guys are involved in end up being some of my favorites of all time. Check out this video of them playing 'No One Loves Me & Neither Do I':
